Absence
The Absence module tracks planned and unplanned time off for employees — vacation, sick leave, or any other reason an employee is unavailable. Absences are visible to dispatchers when scheduling jobs, helping avoid assigning work to someone who is out.

How absences affect scheduling
Section titled “How absences affect scheduling”Absences are surfaced in the Service Calendar and on the Dashboard crew availability panel. When a dispatcher views scheduled jobs or tries to assign a crew member, absences are shown so that conflicts can be avoided before a job is confirmed.
Absences do not automatically block job assignment — dispatchers can still assign an absent employee if needed. The absence is shown as a warning rather than a hard restriction.
